Alex Pall is a DJ and member of the Chainsmokers which includes Andrew Taggart and him. The duo is well known for the production of major hits including “Don’t let me down,” “Roses”’ and the award-winning single “Closer” that they featured Hasley.
Alex Pall grew up with interest in DJing. He was a DJ doing gigs for fun as a hobby because he felt it being scary pursuing something fun as a career. The idea changed one time when he was in an art gallery and realized that dance music was taking over his life, and he felt like he wants to give it a try. During that time, his manager introduced him to Drew, and they shared the same interest. The two started working together immediately as Drew moved from Maine and Alex Pall resigned his then job.
With a great understanding of what each will bring to the table, Alex Pall and Drew just knew they would work together well since they shared the same interest in music.
The dedication and desire to succeed that Alex Pall had made him very observant of the changes in the surrounding that will help in shaping his career. They worked hard from dawn to dusk to create an identity but were not treating it as a job then. Over time Alex Pall realized that it a career and it pays his bills so he got serious and stack to the core values that will help them create music that the audience will relate.
Alex Pall is always working towards producing something interesting for the fans. Before the interview, they were coming from a photo shoot and were continually discussing the design and content of their next album because he believes in trying new things to bring out something more significant. Despite working with songwriters, Alex Pall writes his lyrics and intents to release a DJ album with all the songs being related, unlike the standard settings that have three hit singles, six other songs and a couple of dance songs. Alex Pall believes that Halsey is a cool artiste that he could work with again after producing the hit single “Closer” together.
