Dubai’s legendary real estate developer Hussain Sajwani the DAMAC Owner is the founder of DAMAC Properties where he serves as Chairman. He is widely recognized as one of the most successful businessmen in the Middle East today. DAMAC Owner Hussain Sajwani started DAMAC Properties in the year of 2002. The company grew quickly due to Hussain’s vision for what it could be. To this day, he is still the largest shareholder in his company that was the first firm from the Middle East in the real estate sector to list of the London Stock Exchange.
Born back in 1952, as per albayan.ae, Hussain Sajwani had a very formative upbringing in which he worked for his father at the family shop. He regularly credits the entrepreneurial experience that he gained from his father a being instrumental in shaping his personality as a businessman in today’s modern market. Hussain’s business life started fully after his college graduation from the University of Washington. The finance department of Abu Dhabi Gas Industries is where he plied his trade initially, but Hussain soon jumped into the catering industry. Even though Hussain has expanded into the realm of real estate development, the catering business, which operates under the name Global Logistics Services, is still going strong.
DAMAC Properties has the prestigious distinction of being a firm that has been involved in the development of some 19,000 apartments since it was founded in 2002. The company has been known for some highly iconic projects that include the likes of a Tiger Woods golf course that was designed by the golfing legend himself. The course is managed by the Trump Organization and Hussain and his family have close business ties with President Donald Trump of the United States. Hussain is also a dedicated family man and has a son, Ali Sajwani, who holds the role of General Manager of Operations for DAMAC Group.
